Description: This laboratory course is designed to address the textiles and apparel industries, textile design and production, apparel design practices and influences, and career preparation. Instruction includes knowledge and skills of the design industry, fibers, fabrics, textile and apparel manufacturing systems, product marketing techniques, technology applications, international impact of the textiles and apparel industries, federal regulations, and career options.
