Description: The Advanced Placement Drawing Portfolio course enables highly motivated students to do college-level work in drawing while still in high school.  The course involves significantly more time and commitment than most high school art courses and is intended for students seriously committed to the study of art.  As in each AP Art Studio course, the evaluation is not based on a written examination.  This portfolio is intended to address a very broad interpretation of drawing issues.  Such elements and concepts can be articulated through a variety of drawing processes.  Approaches might include, scraffito, gestural, contour, and value studies.  A variety of drawing media will be used.
