Physical Education

    In Physical Education, students acquire the knowledge and skills for movement that provide the foundation for enjoyment, continued social development through physical activity, and access to a physically active lifestyle. Students exhibit a physically active lifestyle and understand the relationship between physical activity and health.

    The following are required Physical Education courses for boys and girls. Each student is required to complete 1 1/2 credits satisfactorily. (Athletics, Cheerleading (fall only), Color Guard, Dance, Marching Band (fall only), ROTC, may substitute for these requirements)

    Certain courses under Career and Technology Education will satisfy PE graduation requirements. See Agricultural Science & Technology courses.

Physical Education Waivers

    Application for a PE waiver must be submitted to the athletic office by the last week of April to recieve credit for the fall semester and by the end of the first week of December to recieve credit for the spring semester.
