Description: This course will provide students with an opportunity to analyze the movies and how they have shaped America's perception of its history.  The course will investigate historical accuracy, points of view, bias, and perpetuation of historical myth.  The students will develop the ability to assimilate, analyze, and understand visual text.  Also students will gain an understanding of the movies' impact on American culture, values, beliefs, and behavior.
