Description: Digital Graphics and Animation is a one year course that provides a foundation in the fundamentals of design within the art and graphic profession.  Based on industry standards, the course covers: graphic software, image scanning, digital editing, computer design basics, commercial art fundamentals and creative problem solving.  Students will develop the basic knowledge, concepts, technical skills, and vocabulary necessary for computer digital illustration.  Students will also experience some traditional studio media as well as creating electronic pieces.  Students will prepare a portfolio of their work.
