SMALLER LEARNING COMMUNITIES
Smaller Learning Communities are small groups of students broken down from a large comprehensive high school. The groups may be based on things such as student interests, random selection, or grade level. These groups may be called a house, school, academy, or community. Personalized instruction fostered by Smaller Learning Communities (SLC) is a comprehensive process that requires reflection of student interests and skills. SLC allows for individual self-discovery while encouraging growth in all core academic subjects. Students select their School at the end of their ninth grade year by looking at various electives offered in their area of interest.
